Oh my goodness!!! July has been amazing! I still have at least one more engagement session, but I just had to make a post while things still feel fresh! So something I haven't talked about a ton has been my heart to work with women in labor and delivery. My best friend in the whole world became a doula about 4 years ago. (Fun fact, she helped deliver my second and he was born on her birthday.) She is obsessed with birth! So when I picked up a camera, birth photography was talked about quiet a bit. For the last year I have taken that desire very seriously, although the opportunity was hard to find. My beautiful client, who I now consider a friend, allowed me to be with her in such a vulnerable state and I am so thankful! The whole experience was amazing and so beautiful. I am being given another opportunity to capture a home birth in August. At that point I will be making a separate Instagram page for my labor and delivery clients. If you are interested in having a birth photographer, don't be afraid to reach out!!! I would love to meet with you and go over what you would want from the experience! At some point I will be publicly advertising Birth Photography as a service here on my website, but I will not be posting any galleries. It will be inquiry based, and the galleries I do share with clients will be in person with explicit permission from the person who's birth I photographed. I hope this was fun for everyone to read about! The rest of my sessions this month have been amazing per usual! I will be going on vacation in mid August, but I will be back after that!
